Inspired from the old classic Mary Poppins, it has sufficient Indian-nization to keep the story fresh. The presentation and the special effects are slick and in tune with the present. Saif and Rani play the main characters and act very well, Amisha plays a small but sizzling role.
Story is not unique but the way it unfolds is quite different. Saif is involved in a nasty accident in which parents of 4 kids get killed. As a punishment he is asked to take care of the kids until they grow up. Rishi Kapoor as God sends across Rani to take care of the kids and at the same time help Saif who is repenting for the accident. Rest of the story is about how Rani magically transforms Saif and also the kids who are hell bent on punishing Saif for killing the parents.
Though not much of ‘intellectual’ stuff, the simple and sleek presentation and enough animation and magic is appeals to the kids. Parents can give it a miss but a visit if forced is not too boring.
