How much do you carry?
Interesting anecdote
A professor began his class by holding up a glass of with some water in it. He held it up for all the see and asked the students - “How much do you think this glass weighs”.
50 gms – 100 gms – 125 grms – The students answered.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it.”said the professor. But my question is “What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes”.
Nothing the students said.
O.k. What would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?
Your arm would begin to ache said one of the student.
You are right, now what would happen if I held it for a day.
Your arm could go numb, you a might have severe muscle stress and paralysis and have to go to hospital. for sure – Ventured another students and all the students laughed.
Very good, but during all this did the weight of the glass change? asked the professor.![]()
No was the answer.
Then what cause the arm ache and muscle stress.
The students were puzzled “what should I do now to come out of pain” asked the professor again.
Put the glass down Said one of the students.
“Exactly” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head and they seem O.K. Think of them for a long time and they begin to ache. Hold it even longer and they begin to paralyze you… You will not be able to do anything. It is important to think of the challenges or problems in your life. But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to PUT THEM DOWN at the end of everyday before you go to sleep. That way you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh and strong and can candle any issue any challenge that comes your way.
So every evening remember friends. PUT THE GLASS DOWN
enjoy life, eat healthy, think positively, work passionately and give happiness to others !!
Are you special?
Do you think only some people are born special?
Ans: NO. All living beings are born with very individualistic and special attributes. But then the surroundings and surrounding factors stop them from realizing that for themselves or worse makes them realize it wrongly. A deer might have a running power, a lion its roar, an eagle can fly, somebody might have intelligence, someone else beauty or sexuality, someone else nothing but even nothing can be very special. The secret of succeeding with life and not necessarily in life as they both are very different as in the former is from your point of view and the latter from the others point of view is to discover, understand and put your very own individual attributes to a very best and judicious use without guilt but with a very proper understanding.
Also if you look at it the only true assets you ever really have are time and feelings and both of them are perishable. So while they are still there you should not make a mistake of wasting a single second or an iota of them and this purely depends upon your own understanding in discovering what is special in you which obviously will predominantly come from a mindset which is uncorrupted by religion, social programming and more dangerously by your own escapist thoughts of blaming it on destiny and other’s actions.

How very true and put in such clear words. Many a time in life we are so much bogged down by petty happenings and their associated worries that we forget the point of life. We have so little time in life and most of that is wasted in un-enjoyable discussions, un-necessary arguments, un-productive work and greedy quest for material things. Change for the better and make the best of what ever is remaining !!
Human beings
“The amazing thing for me about Human Beings is that there are Millions and Millions of them and each and every one of them have their own mind and each and every one of those minds is convinced that only it itself knows what is Right and all the other minds are Wrong. That’s from where all the comedy and tragedy and the drama of Life arise from.” – RGV

Life is short, make most of it
Life is short!!!!
The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, she is 21 . Next to her, her fiancé, Nick, 23.
The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the US .
Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication.
In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of chemo to end.
In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care
of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss
An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that Katie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well.
The other couple in the picture are Nick’s parents. Excited to see their son marrying his high school sweetheart.
Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening to a song from her husband and friends
At the reception, Katie had to take a few rests. The pain did not allow her to stand for long periods
Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a woman so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think…..
Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it lasts .
We should stop making our lives complicated.
Life is short
Don’t keep grudges and waste your energy
Forgive quickly
Love truly
And never stop smiling no matter how hard life seems to be, remember you are among the richest 1% in the world if you are able to read this mail.
Life is not always the party we expected to be but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful. It is up to us to make the party longer and not brood over the lost chances.
